Family Meetings/Office Hours
I am available for family meetings throughout the school year. If you have a concern, express it soon. There is no need to wait for conference season. I have set aside "office hours" on Tuesday mornings from 7:30 to 8:00 am. Please contact me in advance at [email protected] for an appointment. I am also available at other times to meet or talk by phone. Also, when you contact me, please share the particular concern or topic you'd like to discuss.
No Conference Season (no need to wait! -- see above)
During conference season (November and April/May), middle school grade teachers, either as a group or individually, will reach out to you if we have particular concerns about your child. However, we urge you to reach out to us if you have particular concerns.
Middle School Open House
Driscoll Middle School Open House was on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. If you can't make it, most of the information presented during the open house can be found on this site. My open house presentations can be viewed here.
Extra Help
Extra help is available before school, during school and after school. Students have three "workshop" periods per week where their teachers are available for extra help. Also, I am available on Mondays and Thursdays after school for regular office hours for students (no appointment needed; they can just show up). Before school help is available by appointment; just have your student message me on Canvas.
Contact Information
Generally email ([email protected]) will generate a faster response than leaving a voicemail message.
About Me
I have been teaching math to Boston-area middle schoolers since 2005, and at Driscoll since 2012. Before becoming a teacher, I worked in various business development roles, including five years at America Online. I did my teacher training at the Shady Hill School. I have a BA from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Virginia. The daughter of Iranian immigrants, I grew up in Providence. As a kid, I loved gymnastics, and even now I have been known to perform cartwheels from time to time. I live in Brookline, and I have two kids in high school, both products of Heath school.
